Brooklyn Superbas CBA Champs!
It was a tremendous playoff. Everything was scheduled, played, and completed without any issues. The GM's all had a marvelous time. The games were close and action packed. The intensity at an all time high. When the smoke cleared, Marc Wasserman's Brooklyn Superbas emerged as CBA's greatest team and Wass, the CBA's best for 2011. Wass is now a 2 time CBA Champion, with 12 playoff appearances in CBA's 15 year history. He now possess CBA all time best winning percentage. The World Series and playoff M.V.P. was none other than Miguel Cabrera. The CBA all star dominated the post season with several memrable key HR's and extra basehits. His late inning heroics signified Brooklyn's ascent to the CBA throne. No on in CBA, will forget Cabrera's HR to defeat Rob Hite's Philly team in game 7 of Rd 1 in extras. Joe Wallace's San Diego Surf dominated the regular season like no other team ever 122 wins. They dominated rounds 1 and 2 with a pair of series sweeps over John Miller's High Bridge Heaters, and then Jeff Boutet's Limoilou Wendigo in 4 more straight. The world series however was a Brooklyn party. Although the Surf won a game, Brooklyn's powerful offense and timely pitching by R.A. Dickey proved the Achilles heal for San Diego. Still the 5 games were all closely contested for the most part.
