It was a tremendous playoff.  Everything was scheduled, played, and completed without any issues.  The GM's all had a marvelous time.  The games were close and action packed.  The intensity at an all time high.  When the smoke cleared, Marc Wasserman's Brooklyn Superbas emerged as CBA's greatest team and Wass, the CBA's best for 2011.  Marc Wasserman's Brooklyn Superbas went to their 3rd CBA World Series since 1997. Wass is now a 2 time CBA Champion, with 12 playoff appearances in CBA's 15 year history.  He now possess CBA all time best winning percentage.  The World Series and playoff M.V.P. was none other than Miguel Cabrera.  The CBA all star dominated the post season with several memrable key HR's and extra base hits. His late inning heroics signified Brooklyn's ascent to the CBA throne.  No on in CBA, will forget Cabrera's HR to defeat Rob Hite's Philly team in game 7 of Rd 1 in extras.  Joe Wallace's San Diego Surf dominated the regular season like no other team ever 122 wins.  They dominated rounds 1 and 2 with a pair of series sweeps over John Miller's High Bridge Heaters, and then Jeff Boutet's Limoilou Wendigo in 4 more straight.  The world series however was a Brooklyn party.  Although the Surf won a game, Brooklyn's powerful offense and timely pitching by R.A. Dickey proved the Achilles heal for San Diego.  Still the 5 games were all closely contested for the most part.
Clemente Championship: Brooklyn BSP defeats  Skokie SWM 4 games to 1
Staub Championship: San Diego SSC defeats Limoilou LWD 4 games to 0

Marc Wasserman's Brooklyn Superbas go to their 3rd CBA World Series since 1997.  Their last appearance was their lone championship in 2004.  Joe Wallace's record setting San Diego Surf will play in their first ever World Series after several years of great playoff matches. A classic battle Slugging and pitching.

Game 1 was a pitchers duel with lefty Jon Lester and Roy Halladay.  Halladay was the better ace on this night going all the way in a 3-1 win.  Ryan Braun had the big HR against Lester, a 3 run job early for  lead Halladay never let go.

Game 2  RA Dickey, playoff hero till now, vs King Felix last years CBA Cy Young.  Dickey did not disappoint. A no hitter into the 7th inning and a gem.
Started out with Brooklyn jumping all San Diego's King, Felix Hernandez. San Diego hadn't lost in a playoff till game 1 this season, and now It was 3-0 in the first after a succession of hits by the Brooklyn top and middle of the order.  Furcal, Infante, and of Course Cabrera with the big hit. in a 3 for 3 day.  Scott Rolen added insurance late with a big 2 run double driving in Doumit who went 2 for 4.  Dickey finsihed a 3 hit gem shutout raising Brooklyn to 2- 0

A crazy game. San Diego jumped out on a Morneau Grand Slam 4-0.  Brooklyn came right back with 3 in the 4th and 2 more in the 5th to take a lead and then more. Miguel Cabrera knocked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI, and Ryan Braun added another HR to give a cushion that Brooklyn would later need as the bullpen finally collapsed in the 8th and 9th inning allowing the Surf to score 3 times in the 9th inning when Mariano allowed a few hits and a Cano 2 run double.   The Brooklyn Superbas defeated the San Diego Surf 8 to 7.   Brooklyn up 3-0 in series
Game 4 was something.  Brooklyn jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the 2nd.  San Diego came back with 3 runs on huge hits David Murphy, Robison Canoe, and a blast by Miguel Montero in the 2nd.   He would hit another in the 8th later to ice a win for San Diego after the Cardiac Superbas came right back with 3 runs of their own.  Final San Diego 7 Brooklyn 4

Game 5.
A great game with Brooklyn staking an early lead on a Ryan Doumit Homer.  San Diego came back scoring a deuce on Youkilis and Nick Hundley hits. Brooklyn took the lead in the 6th on a Ryan Howard 2 run job.  David Price and Lester were dueling.  San Diego tied it up at 3 in the 8th on a Robby Canoe hit of Clay Hensley who was shelled in game 4.  The bullpens were solid and until the 9th.  Do or die, Mariano retired SD in the top of the 9th, and then in the bottom of the 9th, Ryan Howard made history cracking a solo HR to win the game for the Brooklyn Superbas.  Their 2nd World Championship and first since 2004.  Let the party begin. Brooklyn wins over SD 4 games to 1.  The World Series/Playoff MVP was Miguel Cabrera who hit over .500 with 11 HR's in the playoffs. He simply dominated with mostly multi hit games.  Highlights included RA Dickey's no hitter bid in Game 2, Ryan Howard game 5 whose go ahead and then dramatic 2 HR performance included a walk off to win the World Championship for Brooklyn. Ryan Braun's hot World series.

Miguel Cabrera knocked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Brooklyn Superbas
defeated the San Diego Surf 8 to 7 at House of Pain {Col}.

Cabrera was spectacular at the plate. The hometown fans showed their
appreciation with a standing ovation his last time at bat. He doubled in the
1st inning, hit a bases-empty home run in the 4th inning, laced a single
resulting in a run in the 5th inning, cracked a two-run shot in the 7th
inning and ripped a base-hit scoring a run in the 8th inning. San Diego
tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.

The winning pitcher was Sergio Romo(2-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Mariano Rivera recorded his 3rd save. Dan Haren(2-1) absorbed the
loss. He was not very effective, surrendering 5 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings.

'We didn't get the key hits when we needed them' Joe Wallace said. 'We did
what we could, we just didn't pull out the win. What can you say?'
