FORMIT 17:
Pitchers' Hitting Cards are not in order of lowest to highest, and concideration to ABs to league history takes a very high priority. With these things concidered, use the following rules of thumb to determine which card pattern the pitcher will use:
CARD #1: NO HR, .000 to .130 BA
CARD #2: NO HR, .131 to .175 BA
CARD #3: NO HR, .176 to .224 BA
CARD #4: NO HR, .225 to .274 BA
CARD #5: NO HR, .275 or greater BA
CARD #6: 1+ HR, .000 to .199 BA
CARD #7: 1+ HR, .200 to .274 BA
CARD #8: 1+ HR, .275 or greater BA
If less than 8 ABs, lower 1 card level.
These steps will give you >90% on making your Pitchers' Hitting Cards. For those of you who do not have these cards, but wish to have close facimiles, use these card formulas:
h w d t hr k gbA
#1 0 3 0 0 0 60 34
#2 6.2 3 0 0 0 55 34
#3 12.6 3 20 0 0 50 31
#4 21 3 43 0 0 44 32
#5 32.55 4 60 0 0 37 28
#6 6.8 4 0 0 52 55 32
#7 18.6 4 38 0 52 47 31
#8 29 4 68 0 52 39 28
Of course, these are the formulated versions of the Pitchers' Hitting Cards. By now, you should be able to tranfer this data into actual cards, whatever pattern you may choose to use.
