Albert Pujols ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Molson Yards (nya) as the
Indiana Redbirds beat the Longue Pointe Loggers 5 to 3.

Pujols provided the offensive punch. He bombed a two-run dinger in the 1st
inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 2nd of the season) in the 6th
inning. Despite losing, Longue Pointe out-hit Indiana 7 to 4.

The victory went to Billy Wagner(3-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. The
loss was charged to Ryan Dempster(2-1). He allowed 4 runs and 3 hits in 6
and 1/3 innings.

Alex Rodriguez who quieted the crowd when he popped a two-run clout over the
fence (his 7th of the season). For the game Indiana out-hit Longue Pointe 9

In a two run game the Indiana Redbirds got by the Longue Pointe Loggers by the
score of 4 to 2.

Indiana came up with 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning when they had 4
base hits. Grady Sizemore led off and started the rally when he doubled.
After an out was recorded, Albert Pujols came to the plate and banged out a
single. Josh Hamilton then doubled. Alex Rodriguez followed and he ripped a
base-knock. Jorge Posada stepped into the box and grounded into a double
play. Longue Pointe went down quietly in the 9th.

The win went to Greg Maddux(1-2) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings. Darren
Oliver earned the save, his 1st. Tim Lincecum(2-1) was hit with the loss.

Indiana now has a record of a league leading 11-2. Dennis Concepcion was
unhappy with his club's recent performance. 'We can't keep losing games' he
said. 'It gets to be embarrassing after a while.'

Longue Pointe claimed the early lead in the first inning scoring one runner.
