Longue Pointe Lynx Historical page with stats

I've played Strat-O-Matic baseball since the early 80's when I played in my brother's tabletop league. Derek Adams(Belfast) also played in the league. I appreciate the opportunity to take part in the CBA. Though I Haven't followed baseball as much since the Expos left,  I used to watch them religiously. But I've started paying attention again. It didn't take long to see that these guys don't mess around. I watch all kinds of sports. Actually, there aren't many I don't watch, except basketball. It just ain't what it used to be in my view.
I'm looking forward to the challenge. Thanks to Marc and all the members for taking me in. Hey, maybe I'll be the first lady champion.

Carlos Zambrano(2-0) thrilled the fans at Minute Maid Field as he crafted a
no-hit masterpiece against the Limoilou Wendigo. The Longue Pointe Loggers
won by a final score of 5 to 0.

Zambrano was spectacular. He walked 3 Limoilou batters. The tension was
mounting with every inning after the 6th. Zambrano appeared oblivious
himself to the mounting history until two were out in the 9th. Only then,
did he allow himself one deep sigh and a slow trip around the mound. The
pitchers took over after the 3rd inning as neither team was able to score
again.

The loss was charged to Tim Wakefield(0-2). 'Not in my wildest dreams did I
think this would happen!' Zambrano said as he stood at home plate to salute
the fans. 'Once I got into the later innings, I decided to challenge every
hitter, and that turned out to be the right decision!'

History was made in Longue Pointe as Carlos Zambrano(8-2) tossed a no-hitter
and the Longue Pointe Loggers defeated the Limoilou Wendigo by the score of 3
to 0.

Zambrano was spectacular. He walked 2 Limoilou batters. The tension was
mounting with every inning after the 6th. Zambrano appeared oblivious
himself to the mounting history until two were out in the 9th. Only then,
did he allow himself one deep sigh and a slow trip around the mound. Longue
Pointe managed 10 in their victory.

Daniel Cabrera(6-4) was tagged with the loss. When asked how his stuff was
out there, Zambrano looked a bit incredulous (as did this reporter) and
replied 'A bit better than average, I'd have to say'
