Washington was a new franchise in 2000 as Canadian River Ball Yard Rats stepped aside for Strat Vet Dan DiVirgilio. He lasted 3 years finishing the 2000 season 55-107 and finishing worse in 2001 at 45-117. Nick Yurchuk came aboard in 2002 and brought home a 17 game improvement to 62-100 . He was quite overwhelmed by the dizzying possibilties of rebuilding, and left after the season. Juan Pierre: We are looking at a CBA legend. Just look at his
numbers, and he's not done yet. The Joliet Jackhammers star LF/CF Juan Pierre
has a hall of fame worthy career as evidenced by his superior hitting and speed
numbers. In 2012 he has 6 more to total 725 career stolen bases. 10 seasons
over 30, and eight over 70! Stole 80 in '06, 88 in '07, 87 in 2011.
and He has only made 30 errors over his long career in the OF a product of his
consistent low E ratings. A career .305 average. Only 9 career HR's but 887
runs, a threat for 1000+ career. 80 career triples. Quite a career.
